Finding what you really want to say
Most people aren’t short of ideas. They’re short of language.
They know what they stand for. They’ve built something real, led something meaningful, or developed a perspective that deserves to be heard. But when it’s time to articulate it – in a profile, a pitch, a conversation that matters – something gets lost between what they mean and what comes out.
That gap is where I work.
Excavate is where we begin. Before any writing. Before any strategy. Before anything gets refined or published or positioned.
It’s a structured conversation – focused, unhurried, and deliberately deep – designed to go beneath the surface of what you think you want to say, into what you actually need to say. The convictions you circle around. The perspective you haven’t quite named yet. The story that’s been shaping everything you do without ever being told properly.
I listen for what lives in the pauses. I reflect back what I hear in sharper language than you used. And together we find the thing that was always there – waiting to be uncovered rather than invented.
What you leave with is clarity. Not a document, not a framework – a genuine understanding of your message, your positioning, and the narrative thread that connects everything you do.
What an Excavate engagement includes:
A 60–90 minute strategic positioning session, structured to surface your core narrative, key themes, and the language that actually sounds like you. Followed by a written summary of your positioning, the messages that emerged, and a clear direction for what comes next.
This is the foundation everything else is built on.
If you’ve ever known exactly what you stand for but struggled to say it in a way that lands – this is where we start.
Every engagement begins with a conversation. Get in touch to discuss your needs and receive a tailored proposal.
